All information will be viewed before they are placed on the notice board.As I am sure you will understand minors will also be reading these articles.
News from Llay Resevoir .
During the last week the Carp have started feeding as the weather warms up, and catches are ranging from 6llb to 14llb plus. Roach at around a 1llb and the first Golden Tench has been caught.We have all been waiting for the first signs of feeding and at long last they are here.
13th April . Resident angler pulls eight carp off the top, ranging up to 9llb plus.Further catches are being reported at 3 & 4 carp being caught at a time. Some on feeder, while others have been off the top.
More Golden Tench have been caught in the last week.
20th May. Llay Res had 300 Tench stocked last night, ranging from 6"-8" in size.Carp are to follow in July.
The Res is fishing well at the moment with Bostin Baits Supplied at Hooky`s coming up trumps . Using 6mm/4mm Soft Hookers either Fishmeal or Scopex are proving to be a favourite over the last few weeks. Fished over 2.3mm coarse feed pellet.3mm Halibut coarse feed is also proving to be very effective.

Bradley Fishing Club Youth Match

Meet at the car park by the bridge at 7.30am for the peg draw.
2hrs Peg Match from 8.00am - 10.00am
1hr Ramble from 10.00am - 11.00am
Weigh in, to be held at 11.15 in the car park.
Worms for the match will be provided free of charge by Bostin Baits.
(One pack per person)
There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards

24th June 2009. The Res is now really fishing well, the best Carp reported so far this season at 22lb. Numerous Carp at 4-18lb and Tench at 4lb plus,
with a 6lb Tench reported to have been caught.
The Roach are still coming in at 1/1.5lb plus. The Stock Tench put in last month have settled with no losses and already putting up a good fight when hooked.
Bait of the week has to go to Hooky`s own B.H.M. Paste.
(I`m bound to say that. But it really does work, Ask Norman!!)

At the moment Llay Resevoir is still frozen over after all the bad weather we have had. But there are several
smaller holes in the ice, and hopefully over the next week we will begin to see a thaw.
The new membership cards are now in at Hookys and already going through the door.
9th February 2010
Llay Resevoir as most of you will probably know, is now ice free and producing some nice carp and roach. After the cold snap it`s a good sign that the carp are showing so early in the year. Happy fishing!
