Lymm Angling Club is one of the premier anglings clubs in the UK. based in the
North-West of England, it has a variety of waters that cater for specimen, pleasure and match anglers alike.
The club membership year runs from January to December
Belmont Pool:
As you stand in the car park beside the stile from where you will gain access to the pools, you can see before you two acres of picturesque land. To the front of you is Willow Pool, as you look to your right you will see Belmont Pool itself. Beyond Willow Pool are the stock pond and Beech Pool, and at the rear of Belmont Pool itself is Oak Pool.
This is one of the jewels in the crown of Lymm Angling Club waters. The water holds a good head of carp including Mirrors, Commons, Ghosties and an odd Leather. The carp range in size from 10lb up to almost 30lb. Also in Belmont Pool are some perch, gudgeon and a few eels. The most popular area to fish is close to the island, but be aware of the snags; fish in open water, and don’t overlook the margins. Another good place to fish is towards the boathouse. Popular baits on this water are boilies, corn, pellets and particles. Try maggots on your carp gear if you want to target other species as well as carp.
